Looking for strategy games with alliances, where you get stronger as a group instead of on your own? In Astrakeep, you join an alliance or found your own: members help each other finish construction, donate resources, chat together (with built-in translation) and launch rallies to attack as a team. More group modes, including territories, alliance wars and an alliance boss, are planned in the game. Astrakeep is free to play with optional in-app purchases, and it's coming soon to Android.
Join an alliance or start your own
In the game's own words, alliance members help each other finish their construction and chat together. Getting in is simple.
Open or closed
Each alliance picks how people join:
- Open: anyone can walk straight in;
- Closed: the leader or an officer approves requests.
Founding your own
You give it a name (3 to 24 characters), a short tag of 2 to 4 letters or numbers, an emblem and, if you like, a description of up to 200 characters.
Three ranks to keep things organized
An alliance has three ranks: Leader, Officer and Member. The leader can promote or demote officers, hand over leadership and remove players. Officers back the leader up, for instance by approving join requests in a closed alliance.
Everyday teamwork
Construction help
This is the heart of alliance life. When you start building something in your kingdom, you can ask for help, and every bit of help from a member cuts the time left. In kingdom building games where only one construction runs at a time, that boost makes a real difference.
Donations
Members can also donate wood, stone or mana. According to the game, the alliance levels up through the help and donations its members give. Alliance levels are planned in the game.
The gift chest
When one member makes a purchase, the other members get a free chest to open within 48 hours.
Attack together: the rally
On the world map, your army can march on another player's village, and the game itself nudges you to rally with your alliance. A rally lets several members hit the same target. These attacks aren't played in real time: you attack the other player's saved defense, or the assault plays out automatically. It's all explained on our page about tower defense PvP on mobile.
The leaderboard has its own tab for the alliances with the most renown.
Chat with players around the world
Translated chat
On top of alliance chat, there's a World tab and private Messages. A Translate button and optional auto-translation let you talk with players who don't share your language, within a daily limit. There are rooms for each of the game's 8 languages, plus an international room.
Real moderation
- You decide who can message you privately: everyone, your alliance, or no one.
- You can report a message (7 reasons, from spam to threats to cheating), block a player or report an alliance.
- The rules are stated up front: any message can be reported and reviewed by the studio, and abuse can lead to the message being hidden, chat being blocked or even the account being suspended.
- The game also reminds you never to share personal details such as your name, address, phone number or social accounts.
Planned in the game: territories, wars and the alliance boss
Three group modes are already built into the game, but whether they're switched on is up to the studio. We describe them as planned, not as open to everyone today.
- Territories: contested zones (Sanctuary, Mine, Fortress, Citadel) reserved for alliances, with garrisons, rallies and a daily reward for every member of the alliance holding the zone.
- Alliance war: sign-ups, preparation, battles and results. During battles, you attack members of the opposing alliance from the world map; stars, destruction and successful defenses all score points. Beginners and shielded villages stay protected.
- Alliance boss: the whole alliance hits the same boss, and its health carries over until it leaves. You launch or join rallies, and all your troops come back with no losses.
